Greetings Parents and Guardians of TMS Students, I am reaching out to you to share some information that has been released to the public over the last few days. This information is our APR or (Annual Performance Report). This is a grade given to each school in Missouri according to how they have scored on a variety of items that DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) gives out at the beginning of each year, from the following year. The items that are graded on are academic progress in the areas of ELA, Math, and Science, how our students test and how they compare to other students in Missouri are rated as well. We are scored on the growth of our students along with the attendance of our students. The following is the percent that TMS has accumulated by year; 2022- 54.1%, 2023-58.9%, 2024-76.0% and 2025-87.5%. In the last 3 years, we have raised our score 33.4%. This is VERY BIG, to raise a building level score this much in that short of time is something to be VERY proud of, and I am VERY proud of the students and staff that have put in the hard work and showed dedication is making this remarkable increase. We still have room for improvement and we will continue to work hard to increase our scores and make our students and school the very best that it can be. One of the areas we did not score as well on, is student attendance. We need kids to be here every day. When students are not here, they miss out on academic opportunity. I wanted to let all of you know this good news and how Trenton Middle School is doing.
Thank you for all you do.
