The THS FCCLA is warming hearts and hands in our community. Seniors Arianna Ortega and Kenzie Lynch are spearheading an event focused on providing winter apparel for children in need. Recognizing the demand for coats, hats, and gloves, they are organizing a community-wide drive running from December 1st to the 18th.
Donation boxes will be available at various locations, including Farmers Bank, BTC Bank, and Tropics Tanning Salon, with more collection sites to be confirmed soon. Community members are encouraged to drop off new or gently used items either at these designated boxes or directly to Arianna and Kenzie.
A special distribution event will be held on December 19th at the THS Commons from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Families are invited to bring their children in need of winter clothing to select the perfect items. Each child will also receive a delightful treat bag to take home.
Join us in spreading warmth and cheer throughout the community this winter season!

The students also had the task of recreating the cover of their book. The students are working on imagery, plot, character comparisons, setting and theme of a story. The students have also learned about helping their peers and providing encouraging words to each other. Great job guys!! Respect Responsibility, Relationships.

Students attending the 3rd grade field trip in Kansas City are stuck in traffic on I-35 due to a wreck. They will not be home in time to take their normal bus routes. Arrangements will need to be made for pick up at Rissler. An estimated time of arrival is between 3:15-3:30. More information will be sent closer to that time.
In addition, bus 5 will be running 10-15 minutes late on its normal route.

First Student Bus has announced that Bus #9 will be running behind schedule.
