🌟 Continuing our Counselors Week celebration, today we'd like to introduce and spotlight Trenton R-IX's wonderful counselor, Mrs. Streiff! 🎉
Mrs. Streiff was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas, coming from a family rich with teachers and counselors. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in School Guidance and Counseling. Before joining Trenton, Mrs. Strieff served as a high school counselor near Branson, MO, for 8 years.
In 2020, life brought her to Northwest Missouri, where she embraced the role of an elementary counselor. Mrs. Streiff is in her 5th year as an elementary counselor, and she stated that "every moment has been a joy. It’s truly awesome being a Trenton Bulldog!"

📣 It's Counselors Week at Trenton R-IX School District! 🎉 We're excited to spotlight our amazing counselors throughout the week, starting with S.M. Rissler's very own Counselor, Christy Grissom! 🌟
Christy has been in education for 24 years! As a school counselor and administrator, Mrs. Grissom brings a lot of experience to our students at Rissler Elementary. Christy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has a private counseling practice in Kirksville.
This year, Mrs. Grissom introduced Zoe the Therapy Dog to our district, a new addition that both students and staff absolutely LOVE! 🐾❤️
Outside of work, Mrs. Grissom enjoys reading and scrapbooking. Her favorite aspects of school counseling include the students, smiles, and hugs!

Congratulations to Coach Bacon and the Trenton Boys Wrestling team for their third place finish at the Grand River Conference Wrestling tournament tonight. Cooper Houser won the conference championship at 120 pounds! Jacob White and Mason Rongey finished in second place. Remi Olmstead, Jackson Bethards, Logan Wilson and Barrett Clark finished third. Gabe Makovec and Jaysar Simpson finished 4th.
In the girls tournament, Avery Clark finished second at 145.
THS Seniors and Parents are invited to attend THS FAFSA Night! This event will be held at 5:30pm on Wednesday, Feb. 5th in the Media Center. All seniors and parents who need to complete the FAFSA should attend. Pizza provided. See Mrs. Woodson or Mrs. Ormsby for more information.
Reminders for the GRC Wrestling Tournament tomorrow at THS:
1. No fans will be allowed in the school until 3:30. Please give our students and teachers time to leave before trying to enter.
2. $5 admission, no passes accepted
3. Wrestling begins at 4:00, boys in the THS gym, girls in the TMS gym.

The brackets for the Hamilton Tournament this week are attached. The THS varsity teams open play on Monday. Admission is $5 adults/$3 students. However, students are admitted free when the Bulldogs are playing!
Trenton will be hosting the GRC Wrestling Tournament on January 29. Fans will not be permitted to enter the building until 3:30 to allow the buildings to clear. All admission is $5, no passes will be accepted.
Additionally, all fans attending the girls wrestling tournament at Brookfield today are asked to wait until 2:45 to arrive.
