Hunter McAtee advances to the 138 pound championship with a 7-4 decision!
State wrestling update: Hunter McAtee, Sam Gibson, and Caleb Johnson advanced to the semifinals tonight. Mason Rongey, Coleman Griffin and Kaden Owen won to advance to the third round of wrestle backs. Go Bulldogs!
Jacey Hudson falls in her first round wrestle back match which ends her season. Congrats to Jacey on a great freshman year, becoming the first THS girls wrestler to make it to the state tournament.
Day 1 results from boys state wrestling:
Rongey, Griffin and Owen: 1-1, advance to 2nd round wrestle backs
McAtee, Gibson and Johnson: 1-0, advance to the quarterfinals.
All 6 wrestlers will wrestle Friday morning beginning at 9:00.
The varsity basketball games tonight have been canceled. The THS girls open district play Saturday night at home vs Brookfield at 6:00 and the boys travel to Carrollton for their first game Monday at 6:00. No passes will be allowed at district games.
Action is under way at the Class 1 State Tournament in Columbia. Match results will be shared on our Twitter account, @TrentonBulldogs.

Parents,
Wright Memorial Hospital will be providing free physicals on Thursday, February 24 at the high school for all students in grades 6-11 planning to be involved in activities next school year. Students planning to have a physical done that day can pick up physical forms in the THS or TMS office and will need to have it filled out prior to next Thursday. If you are unsure of when your student’s current physical will expire, you can email John Cowling at jcowling@trentonr9.k12.mo.us

District basketball begins Saturday for the girls, next Monday for the boys. First round games will be held at the higher seed, semis and finals will be at Ketchum Center. Our girls host Brookfield Saturday at 6:00 pm, the boys play at Carrollton next Monday at 6:00.

DIGITAL TICKETING/ADMISSION: The 2022 Wrestling Championships will be conducted as four separate sessions. Four Sessions = Thursday All-Day, Friday All-Day, Saturday Morning, and Saturday Evening. The price of a Single Session Digital Ticket for the 2022 Wrestling Championships will remain at $9.00, while an All Sessions Digital Ticket will remain at $36.00. All admissions will be through digital ticketing, accessed through the “TICKETS” icon posted on the homepage of the MSHSAA website as well as through the Information Central link posted on the Wrestling page of the MSHSAA website,

Passes Out/In – Spectators, School personnel, Coaches, Participants, Managers, ets. will be able to exit and re-enter the Arena during each session, BUT must secure the appropriate hand stamp before exiting in order to re-enter. Re-admittance will not be possible without the hand stamp.

The THS boys basketball team won 45-36 over North Harrison and the THS girls team defeated North Andrew 32-28 at the GRC Crossover games in Milan today. Go Bulldogs!
