Rissler Car Rider Parents: if you have not received a hot pink car tag, please check your child's backpack and check with their teacher. Having these in your window when you go through the pick up line speeds up the line experience.

What a wonderful way to brighten our teachers’ day! We are so grateful to Sonic for donating free drink coupons for every teacher at Rissler Elementary!

Our teachers work incredibly hard each and every day for our students, and we appreciate our local community partners who recognize and support them.

Thank you, Sonic, for helping us kick off the school year with a little extra refreshment and a whole lot of kindness!

High Five Friday at Rissler Elementary!

What a GREAT way to kick off the first Friday of the school year! Our Rissler Bulldogs were greeted this morning by some special visitors — members of Trenton's high school football team!

The players were here to welcome our students, give out plenty of high fives, and help make the start of the school day extra special. Our younger Bulldogs were so excited to see them!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our high school football players for taking the time to come support our students and be positive role models in our school community. We are so proud to have you representing our Bulldog family!

Good Luck Tonight - I'll be there watching.!!!

The following expectations are written to provide a safe environment for all spectators at home football games. We ask that all parents/guardians talk to their children about the following rules.

1. All students Prek-8th grade must be accompanied by an adult (18+ and not a current K-12 student)
2. All students are asked to be seated or standing with that adult during the football game unless they are walking to or from the concession stand/restrooms.
3. Students should not run in the football stadium as they make their way to the restroom or concession stand.
4. Students are not allowed to bring balls or play tossing games in the stadium. This includes throwing water/pop bottles etc.
5. In order to respect parents/guardians and patrons watching the game in the stadium bleachers, all children are asked to be seated in the bleacher area, and to keep the walkway clear.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our home events safe for our students and patrons.

Awesome Bulldogs

We’re Learning How to BARK!

The first week of school is all about building relationships, learning routines, and making sure our Bulldogs know what it means to be a great member of our school community! One of the most important things we’re learning is our BARK Expectations:

🐾 B – Be Safe
🐾 A – Act Responsibly
🐾 R – Respect Others
🐾 K – Kind Actions

Our students have been traveling around the school and learning what BARK looks like in all of our different areas—from the bus and hallways to the bathrooms, lunchroom, classrooms, and beyond! We know that teaching expectations, practicing them, and reinforcing them helps our students feel confident and successful. We’re so proud of our Bulldogs as they learn, practice, and grow together!

More about PAWS and their REWARDS later.

Friend of Rissler

We are incredibly grateful for this amazing group of retired educators who have chosen to come back and pour their time, knowledge, and experience into our newest teachers!

These mentors are partnering with our new hires to encourage, support, answer questions, share ideas, and help them navigate the exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) first years in education.

There is something truly special about educators who have spent years serving students and now choose to give back by investing in the next generation of teachers. Their wisdom is invaluable, and we are so thankful for their willingness to be part of our school family once again.

Thank you for coming back, sharing your expertise, and helping our new teachers grow and thrive. We are lucky to have you!

Once a teacher, always a teacher!
