Special Weather Announcement

Dear Students, Parents, Faculty, Staff, Patrons, and Friends of the Trenton R-IX School District,

We have experienced a winter weather season that has been trying, to say the least, on our school district. The weather has taken a toll on our education process, along with the parking lots, buildings, and the school calendar. We thank you for being patient and understanding during the last few weeks while we try and continue to provide a safe and valued education for the students. We have now had (10) weather days, and we are not out of the woods yet!

The District continues to put the student’s safety first in situations where there is an altered schedule, or classes are canceled. We certainly appreciate the sacrifices made by parents and guardians to keep students home on bad weather days. We also understand there have been many events, games, practices, and other extra-curricular activities that have been canceled. The District has worked to make-up as many of these events as possible, but there are many factors that go into the rescheduling process. Unfortunately, in some cases they cannot be made up. We thank you for understanding these circumstances as well.

There will be an alternate school calendar presented to the Board of Education on February 12th. If approved, it will be released to the public soon after. We again thank you for your cooperation, and look forward to the better weather, and a successful end to the 2018-19 school year. Go Bulldogs!
