Bulldog Bark

It is an honor to take this time and spotlight Lendy Donoho, Rachael Rongey and Ched Hurley, three great staff members at Trenton Middle School.

Mrs. Donoho is the 5-7th grade counselor and is in her third year in the Trenton R-IX School District. Mrs. Donoho and her husband Jim will be celebrating their 20-year anniversary this year. They are the proud parents to 9-year-old twins Hope and Howie. They live on their family farm north of Meadville.  In her free time, she enjoys attending her children’s events, writing, reading and crafting

I asked Mrs. Donoho what she likes about working at TMS and she said, “I love coming to work every day because of the positive atmosphere at Trenton Middle School. We all share the same goal in wanting every student to succeed and this is evident by the way we all work together. I am blessed to be part of a wonderful team.”

Mrs. Donoho does an outstanding job as the TMS counselor.  She is motivated, caring, and creates a special bond with every student that she has contact with.  She teaches students to be self-advocates, problem solvers, and gives them all the tools necessary to become productive citizens and lifelong learners.

Mrs. Rongey is the 5th grade Science teacher at Trenton Middle School and has been with the district for five years.  Mrs. Rongey and her husband Joe have three children, Gracyn, Mason, and Reed.  In her spare time, she enjoys camping and spending time with my family and friends.

When asked what she likes about working at Trenton Middle School she said, “I love my job because I get to teach an amazing group of kids and work with dedicated professionals who truly care about their students.”

Mrs. Rongey does a great job as the fifth grade Science teacher.  She sets high expectations for her students and creates an environment that is conducive to learning. Mrs. Rongey understands that classroom management is not about having the right rules but having positive relationships with her students. She creates lessons that are relevant and continually assess students to check for mastery. I know she takes great pride in her job and runs a very efficient and productive classroom.

Ched Hurley is the 8th grade Special Education teacher and assistant boys basketball coach at Trenton Middle School and is currently in his ninth year of teaching in the district and his fifteenth year overall. Mr. Hurley’s wife Traci teaches seventh grade ELA at TMS and they have three daughters, Scotlin, McKinley, and Mykah.  In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and watching sports.

When asked what he likes about working at Trenton Middle School he said, “The district and community are very welcoming, the administration has been great, and the people I work with are great.”

I have come to know Mr. Hurley as a very passionate and dependable educator and who takes pride in watching his students succeed.  He strives to build positive relationships with students and co-workers, and promotes a positive and educational culture inside and out of his classroom.  Mr. Hurley makes hit his personal mission to inspire students to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives.

We are extremely blessed to have Mrs. Donoho, Mrs. Rongey, and Mr. Hurley as part of the TMS Family.
