At Rissler Elementary we are fortunate to have an outstanding counseling duo.  Mrs. Terri Critten and Mrs. Leslie Woodard are exceptional educators that we are lucky to call ours.  These ladies go above and beyond for our kids everyday! They are often seen greeting students in the morning with hugs and high fives.  Throughout the day they work tirelessly to make sure all student needs are met.

Mrs. Critten has served as an Elementary School Counselor for 7 years in the Trenton R9 School District.  She also serves as Coordinator of Bright Futures Trenton. She is married to David Critten, CEO of Landmark Manufacturing in Gallatin.  They have two daughters. Their oldest, Alison, is married and lives in Colorado.  Madison, their youngest, is a student at Missouri State University. They also have an adorable three year old grandson named Cooper.  In her free time Terri enjoys cycling, gardening, cooking, reading, and helping others. When asked why she likes working at Trenton R-IX Mrs. Critten responded, “I love working at Rissler because I get to work with a compassionate group of people who care about kids and who are willing to go the extra mile in helping students and their families.”

Mrs. Leslie Woodard is currently in her 11th year as an Elementary School Counselor at Rissler Elementary.  She is a Trenton graduate. She is married to Carl Woodard, of Trenton. They have two daughters, Claire and Layla, both students at Rissler Elementary.  Leslie enjoys zumba, landscaping, and is currently still remodeling her new home.  She also is involved in the community as a GHRA board member and coach.  When asked why she likes working at Trenton R-IX Mrs. Woodard responded, “I love working with others in the R9 district who care so much about kids.”

Again, we are honored to have the opportunity to spotlight these two wonderful women!  They are a great resource for fellow teachers, students, and parents. Their hard work, dedication to the district, and commitment to doing what is best for kids is commendable!
